Our client is a craft brewery specializing in Belgian-style limited editions with a small core product list. Founded by a brewer who apprenticed in Belgium, the company raised a seed round of $1.5M plus $349,000 in debt financing from the City of LA to launch their brewery and tasting room. Upon beginning our engagement in 2016, we focused on formalizing financial reporting to investors and other stakeholders. In 2017-18 we facilitated an SBA-guaranteed loan of $1,300,000 plus a $300,000 injection from investors to fund equipment purchases. As of January 2019, all the new equipment is online and production has doubled for Q1 of 2019.
